Home Healthcare Service

The Royal Medical Services launches a safe home healthcare service for registered patients from the Military Hospital, King Hamad University Hospital, Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa Specialized Heart Center, and the Bahrain Oncology Center, who are better suited to receive care in their homes, as part of a strategic plan.

Home healthcare services include monitoring the patient’s condition after discharge from the hospital (for the elderly and those unable to attend hospital), providing a medical and nursing team to oversee the patient’s condition following an assessment of their health, offering a professional specialist during the first visit to create a suitable health environment for the patient at home, health education for the patient and their relatives, home nursing care, rehabilitation and physical therapy, home mental health support, medication management, providing intravenous treatments at home for oncology patients and the elderly, and home laboratory sample collection for the elderly. Services are available throughout the week and during official holidays, according to the treatment plan established by the supervising specialist doctor, in compliance with the regulations and laws of all hospitals and centers affiliated with the Royal Medical Services.
