Dr. Martin Maresch, MD, PhD, FEBVS, is a highly esteemed Consultant in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Military Hospital, Royal Medical Services. In addition to his clinical role, he serves as an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), Bahrain, where he imparts his extensive knowledge to medical students and residents. Dr. Martin has a distinguished background in Vascular Surgery and is a Co-Director of the National Aortic Repair Program (NARP) at the Military Hospital. His expertise and contributions extend beyond national borders, as he is actively engaged with various international medical boards and societies, including the American Venous Forum (AVF) and the European Board of Vascular Surgery (UEMS). Innovative Procedures and Advanced Technology

As Co-Director of the National Aortic Repair Program (NARP), Dr. Martin has introduced groundbreaking endovascular and hybrid aortic procedures using Fusion AI-assisted imaging in a cutting-edge Hybrid Operating Theatre.

He has pioneered complex venous recanalization techniques using Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) and dedicated venous stents to treat severe venous occlusions. Dr. Martin ’s innovations also include non -invasive, keyhole procedures that combine laser therapy and sclerotherapy for varicose vein management. Additionally, he is among the first in the region to perform Lymphatic-Venous Anastomosis for patients with lymphedema, further advancing vascular care through minimally invasive yet highly effective approaches.
