Holds a dual medical and dental qualified maxillofacial surgeon based in the Kingdom of Bahrain. After spending over 18 years in the United Kingdom for his education and training, Dr. Mohammed returned to Bahrain in 2009. He has since been dedicated to advancing the field of Maxillofaci al, Head and Neck Surgery, pushing the boundaries of this challenging specialty that requires both medical and dental degrees. Dr. Mohammed currently holds the position of Consultant Surgeon at the Military Hospital, Royal Medical Services, where he is al so the Head of the Dental and Maxillofacial Centre (DMFC). In addition to his clinical duties, he serves as the Director of the Crown Prince Centre for Training and Medical Research (CPCTMR) at RMS-BDF and is the Director of RMS/RCSI Research Collaboration at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland–Medical University of Bahrain (RCSI-MUB). He is also a Section Editor at the British Journal of Maxillofacial Surgery (BJOMS).

Innovative Procedures and Advanced Technology

Dr. Mohammed's practice is the only center in Bahrain offering Level III temporomandibular joint (TMJ) arthroscopic surgery.

He is also a recognized global site for 3D patient- specific alloplastic total joint replacement surgeries. Among his key innovations is the use of advanced Computer-Aided Design and Manufacture (CAD/CAM) technologies for 3D Patient-Specific TMJ Total Joint Replacement, utilizing systems like KLS Martin™ and Stryker™ TMJ Concepts. He also employs Nexus™ TMJ Arthroscopic Surgery, a cutting-edge three-channel arthroscope for minimally invasive procedures. Additionally, Dr. Mohammed integrates PRF & Stem Cell Treatment using Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) and Bone Morphogenetic Protein (BMP) for maxillofacial skeletal reconstruction. He established Bahrain ’s first multidisciplinary head and neck surgical oncology service in 2011, now a cornerstone of the National Tumor Board, handling up to 80% of the Kingdom ’s tumor surgeries.
