Dr. Ayman Raees

Dr. Ayman Raees is a Consultant Urologist specializing in robotics and endourology with 12 years of experience at the Military Hospital, Royal Medical Services. He completed his residency training at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada, and his fellowship training in Advanced Laparoscopy and Endourology at the University of Toronto. Dr. Ayman has also conducted instructor workshops to teach local surgeons the Rezum prostate procedure and runs a regular Advanced Laparoscopic workshop. As well as, he is a licensed robotic surgeon certified by the ORSI Academy.

Dr. Ayman’s clinical practice includes a wide range of urological procedures such as: Uro-Oncology: Renal and prostate cancer, Endourology, Benign prostate Hypertrophy (expert Rezum Surgeon, Laser, and Bipolar Turp).

Dr. Ayman has pioneered several advanced urological techniques in Bahrain. He performed the first laparoscopic renal surgery, flexible ureteroscopy, laparoscopic partial nephrectomy, and Rezum prostate procedure in the Kingdom.
Additionally, he conducted the first robotic surgery in Bahrain took place in July 2024, and accomplished the first center in the Middle East to use the Hugo RAS Robot System (Hugo Medtronic). Dr. Ayman also utilizes modern technology for patient care. His clinic is equipped with an MRI fusion-targeted prostate biopsy system. Moreover, he employs innovative technology, including Rezum prostate treatment and GreenLight laser prostate surgery, demonstrating his commitment to advanced patient care.
