Knock on the door and ask permission before entering the patient's room.
Make sure the patient's room door always remains closed.
Speak calmly and avoid actions that may disturb the patient, other patients, or the employee at the Bahrain Oncology Center.
Avoid sitting on the patient's bed or touching any of the equipment in the patient's room.
Do not bring balloons or fresh flowers when you visit the patient.
Food and drink from outside are not allowed to be brought in without prior permission from the supervising physician for the patient's treatment.
Maintain sterilization and wear personal protective equipment when requested by the medical team and follow the educational instructions posted on the patient room door.
Respect the privacy and confidentiality of all patients staying at the Bahrain Oncology Center.
If you have any questions about any matter in Bahrain Oncology Centre, please inform the center employees so that you can be assisted properly.
Please note that any private information about the patient will not be discussed over the phone, as updates on the patient’s condition will be provided during the doctors’ daily morning rounds. If you would like to speak to a specialist, inform the nursing officer of this, while nominating the names of two family members.

General Guidelines:
Visiting Hours
The permitted hours for visiting are from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm daily.
Number of Visitors
To ensure the safety of patients, it is prohibited for more than two visitors to enter at the same time during the visit.
Registration of Companions
Those who wish to stay with the patient in the ward must register their information at the nursing office upon their arrival to the relevant ward (allowed number: Two companions only).
Visiting Children
For the safety of your children, it is preferable not for children who are under the age of 14 years to visit patients.
Seasonal Infection
Please refrain from visiting sick people if you have a seasonal illness or suffer from some symptoms.
Infection Transmission
To prevent transmission, wash your hands with soap and water frequently and use hand sanitizer before and after the visit.
Smoking
Smoking is strictly prohibited at the Bahrain Oncology Center, and it is not allowed to bring or use any form of tobacco, including electronic cigarettes.
Audio and Photography Recording
Photography, Video Recording, and Voice recording are forbidden as per BOC rules and policy.
