About waiting time
The time in minutes between when a patient arrives at the emergency department and is first seen by a nurse or doctor for treatment.
On arrival they are triaged, for urgency and categorised on a scale from 1 (requires resuscitation – intermediate treatment) to 5 (non-urgent)
