About The Crown Prince Center for Training and Medical Research
The Crown Prince Center for Training and Medical Research (CPCTMR), established in 2019, advances healthcare education and research, preparing professionals for modern medicine. It offers advanced medical simulation training with the latest technologies. The center provides immersive, hands-on experience that sharpens skills and enhances patient care.
Beyond education, the center is a hub for interdisciplinary research, promoting collaboration among healthcare professionals, researchers, and academics to enhance patient care, healthcare quality, and medical technology. It addresses key issues like patient safety, supporting healthcare improvements locally and globally. Focused on innovative medical education and research, CPCTMR aims to improve healthcare outcomes and reduce medical errors by integrating emerging technologies and a patient-centered approach.
Sheikh Mohamed Bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa Auditorium
A state-of-the-art auditorium with a capacity of 500 people, frequently hosting regional and international conferences and symposia.
It is equipped with advanced technology and supports live transmission of surgeries from the operating rooms of the Military Hospital, as well as two-way broadcast capabilities from anywhere in the world.
Medical Library & Computer Lab
The Medical Library was established in 1989 with a small room containing only a few books and journals. Over time, it has grown into a comprehensive resource center at the Crown Prince Center.
It provides a wide range of up-to-date medical books covering multiple specialties from leading international publishers.
RMS staff and students have access to full-text medical databases and e-books including UpToDate and ClinicalKey on the RMS network. Remote access is also offered for RMS staff who register with the system.
The library is connected to a dedicated computer lab providing trainees in both medical and non-medical fields access to computer services. The library is equipped with Wi-Fi, internet facilities, printing and photocopying services.
Document supply services are also available through collaboration with medical libraries in GCC countries. Today, the Medical Library and computer lab serve as a vital center for learning, research, and clinical support.
OSCE and Multipurpose Rooms
We provide dedicated OSCE testing and teaching stations alongside flexible multipurpose spaces, leveraging advanced technology to support high-quality training and care.

The OSCE rooms are used as testing and teaching stations, and for smaller workshops.
Multipurpose Rooms
The Multi-purpose room is a flexible space designed for lectures, large workshops, and examinations.
High-Fidelity Simulation Rooms & Wet Labs
We provide advanced simulation rooms and specialized labs, creating training environments that replicate real-world clinical, emergency, and surgical challenges through modern technology.
Pre-Hospital & Emergency Rooms
These rooms simulate pre-hospital care including ambulance simulation, triage processes, and emergency room scenarios.
Military Field Training
Due to our commitment to providing medical support to all units of the Bahrain Defence Force in both war and peace, a special training room has been dedicated for military field medicine training.
Military personnel learn principles including care under fire, tactical combat casualty care (TCCC), and tactical medical evacuation care.
VR Simulation Room
The room features computer-based simulators with virtual reality capabilities including laparoscopic, endoscopic, arthroscopic, and ultrasound simulators.
All simulators are equipped with haptic feedback technology.
Residents from across Royal Medical Services can practice in a safe simulated learning environment.
