The Department of Oncology Palliative Care & Pain Management was established in early 2020 to provide supportive care to oncology patients. Palliative Care is an approach that improves the quality of life of patients and their families facing the problems associated with cancer.

Palliative Care is an approach that improves the quality of life of patients and their families facing the problems associated with cancer through the prevention and relief of suffering by means of early identification, impeccable assessment and treatment of pain and other physical, psychosocial, and spiritual issues.
The Palliative Care and Pain Management team introduced Interventional Pain Management Services to Bahrain Oncology Center to offer effective pain relief through various traditional and innovative modalities. The team at Interventional Pain Management Services is able to provide a wide breadth of pain relief procedures, such as epidural steroid injections, facet joint and transforaminal injections, celiac plexus neurolysis, paravertebral sympathetic neurolysis and vertebroplasty.
