Laboratory
Founded in 1980, the Military Hospital laboratory began with routine tests under Major Thompson's supervision. Early staff included experienced Bahraini technicians, and initial capabilities were limited to basic biochemistry, hematology, and microbiology.
Over the years, the laboratory evolved into specialized units, including Biochemistry, Microbiology, Hematology, and Pathology.
In 2022, the laboratory moved to the larger Department of Pathology in the South Tower, expanding its services to include molecular testing and achieving ISO 15189 certification.
