WHO Director General visits RMS and commends Bahrain’s achievements
Dr. Tedros praised Bahrain’s healthcare milestones, especially RMS’s gene-editing treatment success, recognizing it as a breakthrough moment in global medical advancement and regional innovation.
The reception was attended by the presence of His Excellency Lt. Gen. Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, Her Excellency Dr. Jalila bint Al-Sayed Jawad, Minister of Health, along with esteemed leaders and senior officials from hospitals and centers affiliated with the Royal Medical Services.
During the meeting, His Excellency Lt. Gen. Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received Dr. Tedros Adhanom, commending the efforts made to achieve strategic health goals within the framework of Bahrain’s comprehensive development journey. He emphasized that these efforts align with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and are closely followed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to ensure the provision of optimum level of healthcare services, the adoption of advanced medical treatments, and the overall health and well-being of the community.
